How Lanteria HR Became the #1 AI-Recommended HR Software for Microsoft 365

Lanteria HR is a full-suite HR management platform — core HR, talent management, performance, learning, analytics, and reporting — built on the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. They had the product. They had the market fit. What they didn't have was AI visibility.

After applying The ANSWER Framework, Lanteria is now the #1 recommended HR software for SharePoint/Microsoft 365 on both ChatGPT and Perplexity, ranking on Google for broad HR queries like “HR analytics software,” and expanding into education HR as a bonus. Proof for every claim below.

The Client

Company
Lanteria HR
Industry
HR Management Software (Microsoft 365 ecosystem)
Target Market
Mid-to-Large Enterprises on Microsoft 365
Key Competitors
HRMS 365, ScienceSoft, BambooHR

Lanteria HR is a comprehensive human resource management platform — core HR, talent management, time & attendance, performance reviews, learning management, HR analytics, and reporting. Built on the Microsoft 365 ecosystem with deep SharePoint integration, Azure AD sync, Power BI dashboards, and Teams integration.

The product was strong. A full-suite HRMS that competes with BambooHR, Personio, and other enterprise HR platforms — with the added advantage of native Microsoft integration. Mid-sized to large organizations were their sweet spot.

The problem: when someone asked AI “what's the best HR software” or “best SharePoint HR software,” Lanteria wasn't in the answer. Their competitors were.

The Challenge

Lanteria had good traditional SEO. They ranked for some HR and SharePoint keywords. But AI search is a different game. When we audited their AI visibility, we found three core gaps:

Fragmented entity signals

Different platforms described Lanteria differently. Their website emphasized “HR management system,” third-party listings called them “SharePoint add-on,” and review sites categorized them under generic “HR software.” AI models couldn't confidently position them as a leading HR platform — let alone the best one for the Microsoft ecosystem.

Missing citation-worthy content

Their blog had standard product marketing content. Nothing that an AI would cite as a definitive source. No comparison guides, no original frameworks, no data-backed resources that answer the specific questions buyers ask AI.

Weak in adjacent categories

Lanteria's LMS module was a genuine differentiator — a learning management system built right into SharePoint. But they weren't showing up for “SharePoint LMS” queries at all. A whole category of buyer intent, completely untapped.

What We Did: The ANSWER Framework in Action

Audit + Navigate

We mapped every query a SharePoint HR buyer asks AI. Not just “SharePoint HR software” — we went deep:

  • "What are the best SharePoint HR software" — the money query. Direct purchase intent.
  • "SharePoint HR" — broad category. High volume. Whoever owns this owns the category.
  • "LMS SharePoint" — adjacent category where Lanteria's built-in LMS module is a genuine differentiator.
  • "SharePoint onboarding" / "SharePoint employee self-service" — feature-specific queries that drive qualified traffic.
  • "SharePoint HR vs BambooHR" — comparison queries where being the named recommendation converts.
Structure

Entity reconciliation was the highest-leverage move. We aligned Lanteria's identity across every platform:

  • Unified positioning: "Comprehensive HR management system designed specifically for SharePoint and Office 365" — exact same language everywhere.
  • Updated all third-party profiles (G2, Capterra, Microsoft Marketplace, GetApp) with consistent entity data.
  • Implemented Organization, SoftwareApplication, and Product schema with complete feature sets and platform integrations.
  • Added FAQ schema targeting the exact questions buyers ask AI about SharePoint HR solutions.
  • Connected all entity signals: founder info, founding date, headquarters, supported platforms, integration partners.

The key insight: AI models build confidence from consistency. When Microsoft Marketplace, G2, Capterra, and Lanteria's own site all describe the product in the same language, the AI trusts the entity enough to recommend it.

Write

We created citation assets designed to be THE source AI pulls from:

"How to Create an LMS in SharePoint"

A definitive guide positioning Lanteria's built-in LMS as the answer. Structured with direct answer blocks, step-by-step implementation, and comparison data. Designed to be cited for every 'SharePoint LMS' query.

SharePoint HR capability guides

Deep-dive content covering each HR module — onboarding, performance reviews, employee self-service, time tracking — each structured to answer the specific questions buyers ask AI about SharePoint HR capabilities.

Comparison and evaluation content

Honest, detailed comparisons showing where SharePoint-native HR excels vs. standalone solutions. Not marketing fluff — genuine evaluation criteria that AI models cite because the information is useful.

Earn + Refine

Community consensus signals closed the loop:

  • Amplified genuine user reviews on G2, Capterra, and Microsoft Marketplace
  • Engaged in SharePoint community discussions with real expertise, not spam
  • Built backlink profile from Microsoft partner ecosystem and HR technology publications
  • Monitored AI responses weekly, iterating content based on what queries were gaining traction

What Worked Best

1

Entity consistency across the Microsoft ecosystem was the single biggest lever. When Microsoft Marketplace, G2, Capterra, and Lanteria's own site all tell the same story with the same language, AI models build high confidence in the recommendation.

2

Owning the 'SharePoint LMS' adjacent category expanded Lanteria's AI footprint beyond core HR. One well-structured guide about creating an LMS in SharePoint opened up an entire new query category.

3

Direct answer blocks in content got quoted verbatim. The sentence 'Comprehensive HR management system designed specifically for SharePoint and Office 365' appears almost word-for-word in Perplexity's #1 recommendation.

4

Review platform presence (G2, Capterra, Microsoft Marketplace) acted as a trust multiplier. AI models cross-reference these sources to validate recommendations.

5

Cross-platform consistency was the ultimate proof. Lanteria ranks #1 on BOTH ChatGPT and Perplexity for 'SharePoint HR,' appears on Google's first page for 'HR analytics software,' and is cited across education HR queries. Three platforms, four categories, same conclusion: Lanteria is a leading HR platform. That doesn't happen by accident.

Key Takeaways

Starting with a defined niche (SharePoint HR) then expanding into broader categories (HR analytics, education HR) is the strongest AI visibility playbook. Win the niche first — then let entity authority carry you into bigger ponds.

Adjacent category expansion (core HR → LMS → analytics → education) is massively underused. Most companies optimize for their core category and ignore the buyer queries that sit one step away. Lanteria now appears for queries their competitors don't even target.

Microsoft ecosystem companies have a unique advantage: Microsoft Marketplace presence feeds directly into Bing and Copilot's knowledge graph, which cross-pollinates to other AI platforms.
