People Also Ask (PAA) is the expandable set of related questions Google shows within a results page, each opening to a short answer quoted from a web page with a link. It is a map of the sub-questions Google associates with a query, and each slot is a small featured-snippet-style citation.
PAA is valuable for AEO twice over. It shows you the real sub-questions buyers and the engine care about, which should shape your content structure; and each PAA answer is itself a liftable passage you can win by answering that exact question clearly on a relevant page.
Treat the PAA cluster for your core query as a content outline: cover each question with its own answer-first block, and you become eligible for multiple quoted slots on one results page.
