Entity Salience
A score for how central an entity is to a document as a whole.
Entity salience is a measure of how central an entity is to a document — not whether it is mentioned, but how important it is to what the page is actually about. A page can mention twenty entities, but only a few are salient; the rest are incidental. Engines use salience to understand a page's true subject.
For visibility, salience means a page about your category should make the category entity and your brand clearly central, not buried among tangents. If your brand appears once in passing, the engine reads the page as being about something else and will not treat it as a source on you.
You raise salience by structuring a page around one primary entity and topic, reinforcing it in the title, headings, early content and internal links, rather than diluting it with loosely related material.
