Knowledge Panel

The information box Google shows for an entity it recognises in its Knowledge Graph.

A knowledge panel is the information box Google displays for an entity it recognises — the summary card with a name, description, logo and key facts that appears beside or above results for a known company, person or thing. It is the visible surface of the Knowledge Graph.

Having a knowledge panel is a strong signal that Google has resolved you as a confident entity, which tends to correlate with better, more consistent treatment in AI answers too. The facts shown in the panel are the facts the engine considers established about you, so errors there propagate.

Earning and correcting a knowledge panel comes from the same entity work: consistent structured data, authoritative profiles, and a clear entity home that states your facts unambiguously.
